Dementia Services: Younger Persons' Group
The Dementia Younger Persons' Group provides a service for people diagnosed with dementia under the age of 65 and meet once a week to socialise and take part in various activities. This is quite an active group who are encouraged to discuss and plan their programme of activities. The group are frequently out and about visiting various places of interest and participating in a wide range of activities. A family/carers support group is also provided at the end of each of these group sessions.
The atmosphere within the group is very friendly and all members share their experiences and look out for each other.
